Garlic Bread "Pizza"

Ingredients
  • 1 baguette, cut into 16 pieces
  • Garlic powder
  • Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce
  • 32 slices of pepperoni
  • 1 ball of fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into 16 pieces
  • Basil
Directions
  1. Sprinkle garlic powder over the top of the baguette pieces. In a nonstick skillet, heat about 2 tablespoons olive oil. Add the baguette pieces, garlic powder face-down. Brown lightly, or until golden. Remove from skillet.
  2. Spread a little pizza sauce on the toasted side of each baguette piece. Place 2 slices of pepperoni on each baguette. Put one piece of cheese onto each piece of sauce-and-pepperoni-covered bread. Sprinkle with basil.
  3. Put the "appetizers" onto a baking sheet and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Serve.
