Cornbread

Ingredients
  • 1 cup corn meal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Combine corn meal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Mix oil, eggs, and milk together and add to dry ingredients with a few swift strokes.
  3. Bake in greased 9x9x2-inch pan for 20 to 25 minutes.
